WhatsApp Cloud API + Atendalia
WhatsApp Cloud API helps you alert reception when an appointment changes.
- Type
- Native connection
- Data direction
- Atendalia → WhatsApp Cloud API
What information is shared?
Depending on the notification and what this connection supports, it can send the name, phone, service, date, time, and location. Choose the notifications you need and review the example before connecting real customers; it does not send a complete copy of your business.
Do I need Zapier or another account?
This connection does not require Zapier or Make. Use your WhatsApp Cloud API account and authorize the connection or copy the key or address provided by that tool. Its plans and possible charges still apply.
Who it is useful for
Businesses already using WhatsApp Cloud API that want to connect their customer service with that tool.
How information flows
For example: Alert reception when an appointment changes. Share a human-handoff request with the on-call phone. Keep call-ended events visible without opening the dashboard.

What your WhatsApp Cloud API receives every time an appointment is booked
Your AI phone assistant answers the call, books the appointment in your calendar and sends it to WhatsApp Cloud API. You choose what we notify you about:
- New appointment
- Appointment moved
- Appointment cancelled
- Call ended
- chat.handoff_creado
- chat.handoff_respondido
Depending on the notification and connection, it can include: Customer name · Phone · Service · Date and time · Branch · Notes · Table or space.
How to connect it
- 1Hire your assistant at atendalia.com.mx/signup and forward your business calls. Nothing to install.
- 2In your dashboard, open Integrations → Add and choose WhatsApp Cloud API.
- 3In Meta for Developers → WhatsApp → API Setup, copy the access token and Phone Number ID. The destination phone must include its country code and have the required consent; use an approved template whenever Meta requires one.
- 4Hit Test: WhatsApp Cloud API receives a sample notification instantly, with the real look of every appointment.

Relevant limits
- This connection only covers the events shown on this page.
- Provider availability, quotas, permissions, and charges are controlled by WhatsApp Cloud API.
- Only the events listed above are sent. The connection is one-way and does not import changes made directly in WhatsApp Cloud API.
What an appointment looks like when it arrives
This is how the alert reaches your WhatsApp Cloud API when the assistant books an appointment:
New appointment · Ana López
Haircut · Thursday, September 10, 5:00 p.m.
Downtown branch · +52 81 1234 5678
Booked over the phone
Note: first-time customer.
And the full appointment stays in your dashboard, even if you never open WhatsApp Cloud API.
How to verify and troubleshoot
- Use Test in Atendalia and confirm that WhatsApp Cloud API records the sample.
- Check the integration log for a delivered status and an HTTP success response.
- Enable one event at a time first so the destination is easy to identify.
- Use “Test” in the dashboard and check the result in WhatsApp Cloud API before enabling real events.
- If you see 401 or 403, review the token, its validity and the provider permissions.
- If no data arrives, review the integration log and confirm that the event is enabled.
Specific questions
